Squid jig + pescafondo is intended for complex and dynamic squid fishing from an anchored vessel with a submerged light. The light should be turned up until small bluefish are gathered, then turned down. The ideal depth for fishing is 20-25 m, and it is preferable that the bottom is overgrown with grass. The best position for fishing is at the entrance of the bay. Squid jig + pescafondo consists of a solid reel with a handle designed especially for that purpose, for fishing from a boat. It is fished from the hand, which provides the angler with direct contact with the fish. The shape of the reel allows easy unwinding of the nylon during fishing and reeling in after completion. The hunt begins by lowering the reel into the sea and unwinding the base. As a decoy, swimming squid jig and pescafondo are used. The length of the released base from the lures should be adapted to the depth and configuration of the bottom.
