The technique used to catch Xipi is to lower the lure to the bottom and with light reeling, the lure takes on an upward, straight trajectory that simulates an escape. A similar effect is achieved when the lure sinks, which is why we often get bites in the "fall". It is advisable to take a ready-made leader with two additional hooks that are mounted in the squid's arms along with the lure itself. Due to the fish's curiosity, we often get bites in the arms themselves before the final attack.
