The Morakniv Companion MG is the successor to the legendary Clipper 860MG model.

The new model features redesigns in:
– the shape and texture of the handle
– the sheath
– the spine of the blade (now ground)
– blade thickness, now 2.5 mm (compared to 2.0 mm on the previous model)

The Morakniv Companion MG is a Swedish utility knife in an outdoor green-and-black color scheme, offering exceptional sharpness, a comfortable ergonomic handle, and traditional Scandinavian blade geometry. The blade is made from high-quality Swedish Sandvik 12C27 steel, with a hardness of HRC 57–58, which provides an optimal balance between edge retention and ease of sharpening in the field. It is corrosion-resistant.

For sharpening and maintaining the edge, we recommend the Fallkniven DC4 combination whetstone. Although the steel is corrosion-resistant, it should still be rinsed with plain water after use, especially after contact with salts or seawater.
