Morakniv Companion Spark (S) is a Swedish outdoor knife designed for outdoor use, camping, and hiking. It features an integrated fire starter (firesteel) built into the handle.

The 2.5 mm thick blade is made from Swedish 12C27 steel, heat-treated to a hardness of 57–58 HRC and ground with a Scandinavian (Scandi) profile, allowing efficient wood processing and general outdoor tasks. The 104 mm blade length is sufficient for most tasks and provides full control during cutting.

The comfortable ergonomic handle enables extended use without fatigue. The spine and sides of the blade are ground to form a 90-degree angle, allowing efficient scraping for fire-starting.

For sharpening and maintaining the edge, we recommend the Fallkniven DC4 combination whetstone. Although the steel is corrosion-resistant, it should be rinsed with plain water after use, especially after contact with salts or seawater.
